i wanted to first become a neurosurgeon, so i took a few classes (neurobiology, statistics in psychology, organic chem, and bio ii)
then statistics in psych. inspired me to go into mathematics

Hopefully a master chef, but most likely a small town cook.
Re: your educational ambitions
Maybe an Italian restaurant.howaito wrote:where do you think you want to work
But one day, I hope to start my own restaurant.
Re: your educational ambitions
that sounds pretty nice, is there anything in particular you specialize in or like cooking?JumbleBee5 wrote:Maybe an Italian restaurant.howaito wrote:where do you think you want to work

I've made some gnocchi, beef wellington, and sushi currently.
I'm still a beginner chef right now.
Re: your educational ambitions
to add to this thread since everyone else already has
i'm going for journalism, or maybe creative writing, with meteorology if the other two fall through
my main reason for not having decided between CW and journalism is because of what journalism is; a business that doesn't actually do a whole lot of news reporting in the long run. i'm not sure if i want to commit to that, even though it pays well and can be a pretty stable job if you can stay true to the network or newspaper you work for

all you have to do in modern journalism is blame white people for everything

take advantage of that
nowadays, journalism has just trickled down to opinions and sensitivities, not much more informative stuff
sad thing too, because the media is supposed to be unbiased
i guess its still a decent field, depending on who you write for

Re: your educational ambitions
well it's not that it's "not informative," it's just really selective of the stories it runstomoko kuroki wrote:take advantage of that

if you want a kind of tragic fact, the most unbiased mainstream news channel in the united states at this point in time is literally the BBCtomoko kuroki wrote:sad thing too, because the media is supposed to be unbiased

selectivity is a factor for informative value
the media chooses to run stories about how some black dude was shot to death by a white cop, without mentioning the 10 murders the guy did before. and its frequent too. they make it look like the cropped photo that they give happens everyday, without informing people about the actual statistics
first was huffington post when they were hijacked by feminists
then NBC
then CNN
fox news was always dumb
hispanic news sites only talk about immigration
i only like al-jazeera and BBC

Re: your educational ambitions
really depends on the outlet and how convenient it is though, sometimes selectivity completely fucks the informative value and other times it amplifies ittomoko kuroki wrote:selectivity is a factor for informative value
Re: your educational ambitions
there is no informative value in the first place
i remember CNN ran some article about "how it feels to be a feminist and a stripper" and "10 worst places in America to be non-white"
the newest batch of journalist graduates are made up of the guys in tight pants and big glasses you saw in your college campus starbucks

Re: your educational ambitions
literally every outlet that is based in america
most feminists and social justice warriors are wasting MIT educations on getting majors in womens studies
plus, employers like having "DIVERSITY" in the workplace, and are willing to hire people that have grudges on the oppressive cis white man
