What TV, Books, Movies, etc have you been watching/reading

I don't watch much TV, haven't seen any movies lately, and we've only read speeches in language arts.

my television watching habits basically consist of ID because nothing good is on 96% of the time

it is my general opinion that censorship is sincerely one of the worst things that humanity has ever done

some censorship is kind of good, depending on the perspective

shit like ISIS magazines and "how to make missiles" is stuff that the general population cant be trusted with

its more about trust issues than actual freedom

I think oppressing ANY knowledge is bad to me, personally, even if I don't agree with the stance that it takes.

but if the stance is like "child marriage is ok allahu snackbar" or "race war now kick the jews" then it should be censored because of the actual danger it can lead to

I see where you're coming from, and I agree with you that that stuff is fucking awful.

But most of the time it's just a bunch of words in a book, a newspaper, a song,  etc. Most people probably aren't going to go kill a bunch of Jewish people just because some guy hates them and wrote a book or whatever about why you should.

well yeah censorship isn't all bad, but a lot of it is pretty egregious and shitty

in the middle east and africa? yeah sometimes that shit can and does cause pogroms and murders. there's more than a few examples floating around of things being sparked by cartoons and such, like the jyllands-posten controversy back in the 2000s

To be honest, I don't know a lot of this stuff, as I am not into world culture. Wow, that's pretty horrible. I didn't know people could do this over a simple cartoon.
